A significant number of representatives of the diaspora from Austria attended the celebration of 9 January, the Day of the Republic of Srpska.

Representatives of Serb associations came to Banja Luka at the invitation of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria, and stayed there on both days of the celebration of 9 January, the Day of the Republic of Srpska.

‘These are associations that bring together a large number of clubs. The contribution of our diaspora to the preservation of the Republic of Srpska is significant, and it is very important that the Republic Day included representatives of Serb associations from Austria, for whom we also organized a celebratory lunch in Banja Luka on 8 January’, said Mladen Filipović, head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria.

Filipović adds that prominent businessmen, representatives of Prosvjeta Vienna, students and others were also present at the celebration.

Guests from Austria were present at the Academy held on 8 January in Banski Dvor, Banja Luka, and at the reception in the Administrative Center of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, as well as at the ceremonial parade organized in Istočno Sarajevo the following day.
