As part of the Second Congress of Surveyors of Serbia and Republic of Srpska, a meeting was held in Bijeljina between the Acting Assistant Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Nikolina Milatović Popović, and representatives of homeland associations active in this part of the Republic of Srpska. The meeting discussed free legal aid intended for the protection of property rights of persons from the Federation of BiH. At the same time, representatives of the associations presented their activities in the field of preserving Serbian cultural and national identity.
The attendees included representatives of Tuzla Homeland Association, Association of Herzegovinians, Alliance of Municipal Associations of Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Republic of Srpska, Prijatelji Ilijaša Citizens’ Association, Sarajevo-Romanija Region Homeland Association, Gornja Brijesnica-Lukavac Residents Homeland Association, as well as Dom Association from Banja Luka, which is implementing the Imovina ima pamćenje project with the support of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region.
The meeting was blessed by the abbot of the Tresije Monastery, Serafim, who testified to the possibility for each individual to act in the field of protecting property rights through his personal example, but also to be of help to each other in the spirit of unity of the Serbian people.
