Upon the initiative and with the support of the St Petersburg Education Committee, from 16 January to 8 April 2023, the St Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education is holding the Remote Olympiad in History and Culture of St Petersburg with international participation. The language of the Olympiad is Russian. Participation in the Olympiad is free.

Pupils and students aged 14-18 studying in state and non-state educational institutions of Russia and foreign countries are invited to participate in the Olympiad.

The remote Olympiad in St Petersburg history and culture (with international and regional participation) is held in three stages: stage I – qualifying (January 2023); stage II – intellectual (February 2023); stage III – creative (February-March 2023); followed by personal defense of the work (from 13 March to 8 April 2023; for St Petersburg residents, the work will be defended in the SPb APPO, for non-resident and foreign participants – via video conferences). Results of the Olympiad will be summarized by 30 April 2023.
