The municipality of Lopare business forum was held as part of the traditional event Diaspora Days. Every year it brings together several businessmen from the diaspora who have been investing in businesses in the municipality for years. At this year’s business forum, businessmen from Australia presented their Lopare economy investment program.

Slađan Radojević has been living in Australia for 26 years and has a family business there. Now he wants to invest in his hometown in the field of construction. - My dad and I plan to return here and start the business we acquired there. To help those closest to us here, but also for society as a whole to find employment - said Slađan Radojević, Australian businessman.

Rado Savić, the head of the municipality of Lopare, says that this local community has had 20 projects from people from the diaspora so far and the Business Forum is an opportunity to hear something new. - People come with new ideas, initiatives from various sides - adds Savić.

Representatives of business associations from the diaspora agree that the area of the Lopare municipality is suitable for investments in tourism. - The project around Busija is certainly interesting, but so are other projects presented by the Tourism Organization - said Rade Lazić from the Association of Majevicans in Switzerland.

The Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Bijeljina area participates actively in such gatherings and has been providing full support to the Lopare municipality for years in attracting potential investors from the diaspora. The event Diaspora Days brings together business people, representatives of cultural and sports associations.
