The International Tourism Fair that opened yesterday in Vienna will present the tourism offer of the Republic of Srpska focusing on skiing, rafting, canyoning and other types of active tourism which arouse particular interest with Austrian tourists, said Srpska’s Tourism Organization.
The Tourism Organization’s exhibition space will present the offer of tourism organizations of Banja Luka, Trebinje, Istočno Sarajevo and Prijedor, as well as Jahorina Olympic Center, Krajina House, Vrućica Spa, Ozren Thermal Spa and Marriott Hotel.
This is the largest tourism fair in Austria that attracts a large number of Austrian tour operators, with 70 countries represented by more than 700 exhibitors, and registered visit by more than 150,000 people.
Srpska’s Tourism Organization says that the Austrian market is important for the Republic of Srpska due to its size and proximity.
‘Austrian tourists rank seventh by the number of overnight stays in the Republic of Srpska,’ said Sanela Šimun from the Tourism Organization.
The Vienna International Tourism Fair is open until Sunday, 19 January.
The Tourism Organization is organizing the presentation of the Republic of Srpska’s tourist offer in cooperation with the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria and Srpska’s Ministry of Trade and Tourism.
