The minister without portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Serbia in charge of relations with the diaspora, Đorđe Milićević, together with the mayor of Kruševac, Jasmina Palurović, opened a themed summer camp for children from the region and the diaspora - Diaspora Days in the Medieval Capital of Serbia, the City of Kruševac.

The project aims to nurture the culture and traditions of the Republic of Serbia. More than 10 cultural and artistic societies from Slovenia, Romania and Republic of Srpska are participating, in addition to those from the territory of the city: Polet from Padež, Čarapanka from Krvavica, Bistričko kolo from Dvorane, Stanislav Binički from Jasika, Vuk Karadžić from Žabare and Čarapani from Kruševac. More than 200 young people will participate in the performances.

The Minister said that young people would have the opportunity to learn from each other, exchange experiences and build bridges between Serbs wherever they live, and expressed the hope that they would use every moment of this camp to make new friends, learn something new and create memories to keep throughout their lives.

Also, together they will plant a tree of friendship and visit many cultural and historical sites in the area of Kruševac and mountain Jastrebac.
