His Eminence Bishop Vasilije of Srem received the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik in the Krušedol Monastery, where the 16th Krajina Church-People’s Pan-Serbian Gathering Bells of Krušedol was held.

The bishop expressed his gratitude to Dodik for all the support he had been providing selflessly to that gathering throughout the years.

‘The Krušedol Gathering is a get-together around the church, which is the strongest element of the Serbian identity’, said the Serb member of the BiH Presidency on that occasion, RTRS reports.

‘Today, I am in Krušedol with our people to commemorate the suffering of the people from the Republic of Serbian Krajina for the 16th time. With prayer in the church of the ancient monastery, we want to renew not only the memory of the victims, but also of the life in this area’, Dodik added.

More than a thousand people gathered in front of the monastery, Serbs from Croatia, Republic of Srpska, Serbia and the diaspora, who greeted the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.

The 16th Krajina Church-People’s Pan-Serbian Gathering Krušedol Bells was held in the Krušedol Monastery, starting with the Holy Hierarch’s Liturgy and a memorial service for all Serbs who had perished in the wars from 1991 to 1999 or died in exile.
