The Serbian language school, organized by the Serbian Educational and Cultural Center of St. Helen of Anjou in Malta, with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia – Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, has about 150 students at four locations: three in Malta and one in the island of Gozo. Certificates of successful attendance in the 2021/22 school year were recently awarded to the students of the Serbian Language School in Malta. The event was attended by the Head of the Valletta Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Rome, Boško Šukić, who congratulated the students on the successful school year completion and thanked the children and parents for recognizing the importance of learning the mother tongue for the preservation of our tradition, culture and knowledge of our rich history which makes us proud.

Šukić expressed deep gratitude to the teachers, headed by Jelena Jablanov Maksimović, to the priest Father Rista Gorančić, who provided the space for holding classes, and to the Republic of Malta, which accepted the Serbian community and enabled it to maintain the link with the motherland.
