The Museum of the Republic of Srpska participated in the international social forum: Preserving the memory of the Second World War and the great patriotic war, announced the Museum of the Republic of Srpska.
This important international forum is being held in the Russian Federation, in the city of Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), within the program of the Days of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, from 3 to 7 July.
Miladin Savić, the acting director of the Republic of Srpska Museum, spoke on the topic: The role of the Museum of the Republic of Srpska in objective presentation of the history of the Serbian people in the Second World War, reads the press release.
Following this presentation, Milenko Đorđević, senior curator, historian and author of the exhibition on the Jasenovac concentration camp, spoke on the topic: The role and importance of museums in preventing attempts to revise the history and results of the Second World War in the territory of Yugoslavia, with a particular focus on the Museum of the Republic of Srpska.
The international social forum Preserving the memory of the Second World War and the great patriotic war gathered participants from many European and Asian countries, with the common goal to preserve the memory of the Second World War, announced the Republic of Srpska Museum.
The forum was held online, and the theme of this year’s forum was Protect the memory of the Victory.
The participation of the Republic of Srpska Museum in this international forum was made possible with the facilitation of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in the Russian Federation.
