The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Staša Košarac, visited yesterday the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia, where he spoke with the Head of the Representation, Mlađen Cicović, about past activities dedicated to Serbian identity, national unity and promotion of the Serbian language, alphabet, history and tradition.

Their conversation placed a special focus on the Days of Srpska in Serbia event, organized traditionally by the Representation for 11 years, which this year included holding of a total of 14 programs in the fields of science, theater, film, and music in 11 cities with more than 160 participants from all parts of the Republic of Srpska, but also from Belgrade and from Kosovo and Metohija.

Košarac said that the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia was working actively on promoting the values of the Republic of Srpska and its democratic capacities, and had a large and recognizable role in promoting the connection and strengthening the fraternal ties with Serbia.

Košarac and Cicović agreed that they were proud of the decision of the governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia and Presidents Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić to jointly celebrate the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag on 15 September. They said that it was of special importance that we mark all important dates from Serbian history together and nurture the culture of remembrance.
