Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić met today (18 November 2024) in Vienna with the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, who informed him about the activities of the Representation and plans for the coming year.

The meeting discussed our diaspora’s activities in Austria and noted the importance of cooperation and unity among the large Serbian community in Austria through concerted action in preserving our language, culture and tradition. Therefore it was agreed to continue supporting the activities of Serbian associations and clubs in coordination and cooperation with the institutions of the Republic of Serbia.

In the premises of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, within his official visit to Austria, Minister Klokić met with Svetlana Stojšić, project manager at the WIFI Institute. On that occasion, they discussed the Fit4Austriaproject second cycle, implemented successfully by the Representation in cooperation with the WIFI Institute of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, to end in late November with a visit to Vienna by a group of Republic of Srpska businessmen who have successfully completed education and training during this year. During two years, about 80 companies from the Republic of Srpska participated in the Fit4Austria project, and all participants are awarded certificates of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting also discussed cooperation in the field of applying for and implementing projects related to the European integration process, and noted the potential to expand cooperation in the field of education and professional training through projects aimed at strategically important economic fields such as metallurgy, wood processing, new technologies and manufacturing.
