The Returnee Support Center presented the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić with the Gold Plaque in Bosanski Petrovac yesterday. The gold plaque is awarded for exceptional contribution, strong institutional support and commitment to the survival and better life of the Serbian people in Bosanski Petrovac. Prime Minister Minić said that Serbs living in the Federation of BiH could always count on Srpska.

The Republic of Srpska’s Prime Minister Savo Minić attended the First Assembly of Returnees and said that the main message of his coming to Bosanski Petrovac was that returnees know that Srpska is with them. Minić said that he would provide the time and budget funding for projects to be implemented in the FBiH where Serbs live, so that they know that they can always count on Srpska.

– I come from a small FBiH municipality and I know how important it is to have support. These are our people, I have the right and desire to come here and ask how they live and what they do. Bosniaks and Croats are guaranteed all rights in the Republic of Srpska and I expect that to be the case for the Serbian people in the Federation. For all the projects that we will implement, we will find time and budget funding so that they know that the Republic of Srpska exists and that they can count on us at all times – said Minić. He added that even a little support meant a lot to them because they knew that Srpska was with them, and stated that this was the main message of his coming that day.

The Director of the Bosanski Petrovac Returnee Support Center, Nemanja Davidović, said that the Center’s new premises opened that day thanks to the support of the Republic of Srpska, and returnees were presented with 100 decisions on assistance in reconstructing their facilities. – The new Center premises have been opened and returnees have been handed 100 decisions on assistance in the reconstruction of facilities, as well as decisions on assistance to last year’s new mothers. In total, this exceeds the value of BAM 450,000 and everything is financed with the support of the Republic of Srpska – said Davidović. He thanked Minić for taking the time to visit the residents of this municipality, and noted that this support had been ongoing since the first day he had taken office as prime minister.

Upon his arrival in Bosanski Petrovac, Minić visited the Returnee Support Center premises. Minić was welcomed by the Director of the Returnee Support Center, Nemanja Davidović, and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, with whom he visited the new premises. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Željko Budimir. The Returnee Support Center was established with the mission of providing assistance, support and encouragement to people returning to their homelands after long years of exile. It was officially registered in 2020.
