A forum was held on 20 March in Munich as part of the Together for the Diaspora campaign aimed at improving cooperation between the Serbian economy and the Serbian business diaspora in German-speaking countries, implemented by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. The event brought together a large number of representatives of the Serbian diaspora, business and institutions, with the audience actively participating in the discussion on cooperation and investment opportunities.

The event was organized in cooperation between the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and Alta Banka, with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Munich, and the company ECO Green Energy BGC, whose efforts contributed to the organization of this forum. The organizers of the event in Bavaria were prominent Serbian diaspora representatives Srđan Matejević and Vladimir Vanja Nikolić.

The forum was well-attended and successfully organized, with the presence of a large number of businessmen and members of the Serbian community. During the program, the audience showed great interest, actively participating in the discussion and asking questions to the panelists.

The meeting was opened by moderator Vlastimir Vidić, who welcomed the representatives of institutions, business and the Serbian community of Munich. The Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Munich, Božidar Vučurović, spoke in the introductory part, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the homeland and the diaspora, as well as the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to economic connections. The participants were then addressed by representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia. The Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Branislava Simanić, presented support programs intended for diaspora entrepreneurs and investors, including financial incentives and investment opportunities in Serbia. The Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Vladimir Kokanović, spoke about the importance of institutional support and direct communication with our people abroad, emphasizing the need for continuous dialogue and networking. In addressing the participants, the organizers Srđan Matejević and Vladimir Nikolić emphasized the importance of networking between the homeland and the diaspora, not only in terms of culture and identity, but also in the field of economy, which was the reason for their involvement in holding the forum in Munich and providing the diaspora with valid first-hand information.

The forum discussed key topics for the Serbian diaspora, including investment opportunities in Serbia, improving business cooperation, and specific institutional support mechanisms for entrepreneurs in the diaspora. The Together for the Diaspora campaign is aimed at strengthening economic ties and creating a stable and reliable investment framework, with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, export potential and the IT sector.
