The Minister without Portfolio responsible for monitoring the situation, proposing measures and participating in the coordination of activities in the field of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora, Đorđe Milićević, visited today the Radosavljević family who had returned from Russia to the village of Žabare, near Topola.

Milićević said that Goran and Dijana had decided to return to their homeland, together with their son Aleksandar, after years spent in Russia and to create the future they wanted on their estate.

He stated that the Radosavljevićs had started their own business two and a half years ago by opening the tourist apartments Čalane, and added that what was particularly important was that they had not stopped there, but through their work they connected guests with this region, and marketed the products of local producers further.

‘As the minister responsible for the diaspora, I want every one of our people who lives outside Serbia to know that the doors of their country are always open,’ said Milićević and added that our compatriots living throughout the world were increasingly deciding to continue their lives in their homeland.

Milićević also visited the Marković family from the village of Radovanje, near Velika Plana, as well as the Popović family, who are planning to return to Serbia from Austria.

Milićević said that the Marković family, with their work, effort and attitude towards life, showed that our villages could and had to be places where people live, work, create and raise a family, reads the statement of the office of the Minister without Portfolio responsible for monitoring the situation, proposing measures and participating in the coordination of activities in the field of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora.

Minister Đorđe Milićević met and talked in a pleasant atmosphere with the Popović family, who are planning to return to Serbia from Austria.

The Popović family, together with their three sons, are planning to return to their homeland permanently, said Minister Milićević, adding that Serbia had finished displacing its people around the world - now it was the phase of permanent return.
