The Days of Srpska in Serbia is important for the unity and sobornost of the Serbian people on both sides of the Drina and a significant bridge of sincere cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, said the special envoy of the President of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, at the closing of this event.

Klokić, who is the Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation, pointed out that the Republic of Srpska and Serbia had always had good relations, but never better than in the last few years.

– Together we define strategic, infrastructure projects that are equally important for the Republic of Srpska and Serbia. Together we prepare programs for the national group of subjects in primary and secondary education. Together we establish a culture of remembrance and celebrate the Day of Serbian Unity and the National Flag – Klokić said in his address in Novi Sad.

He thanked those present for making this gathering even more spectacular, and he thanked especially the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia and its head, Mlađen Cicović, who had been gathering and highlighting the importance of unity all these years.

Klokić said that packed halls at all screenings over the past seven days clearly showed the importance of this event and how much it meant for Serbs on both sides of the Drina, for their unity and sobornost.

He reminded that the idea to present the Republic of Srpska and its potential to Serbia and its citizens had started in 2013, and that it had been done every year in a new and unique way.

– We presented culture, science, education, business, art and our tradition from almost all parts of the Republic of Srpska – Klokić said.

He pointed out that this was one of the bridges that Srpska and Serbia were building together, creating even stronger ties.
