The first Invest Forum organized by the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Investment Development Bank of Srpska will be held tomorrow in Banja Luka, with the participation of more than 300 businessmen from Europe and the world.

Businessmen from Italy, Japan, China, Turkey, Switzerland, Serbia, Austria, Hungary, Russian Federation, United Arab Emirates, Croatia, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Belarus and Belgium will take part in the Invest Forum entitled Take the Chance, Invest in Srpska.

The participants also include representatives of governments, chambers of commerce and diplomatic corps, announced the public relations bureau of the Republic of Srpska Government.

The Forum will present the investment opportunities, potentials and projects of the Republic of Srpska with the aim of connecting the businessmen of the Republic of Srpska with foreign businessmen for the purpose of new investments, job creation and strengthening of the economy.

The businessmen will be presented the stimulating business environment of the Republic of Srpska, companies and assets in which foreign investors are interested; and local communities will present their business zones, with specific offers for brownfield and greenfield investments.

The Government of Srpska will present projects in the economic sectors and benefits of investing in the Republic of Srpska, with the Ministry of Finance presenting the stimulating tax policy in Srpska for investment, the IDB promoting investment potentials and investment opportunities in Srpska, and cities and municipalities of Srpska presenting investment opportunities in business zones.

In the second part of the official program, the focus will be on establishing business cooperation between businessmen and cooperation between international institutions/organizations and institutions of the Republic of Srpska, all with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation.

The Invest Forum, to be held on Tuesday in the Banski Dvor Cultural Center starting at 9:30, will be an opportunity to discuss specific investment opportunities and offers of the Republic of Srpska, and a business opportunity to connect businessmen of the Republic of Srpska and foreign businessmen through partnerships or direct investments.

The Acting Director of the Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska, Dražen Vrhovac, said that the Invest Forum was the crown of all IDB activities on promoting Srpska’s potentials, and emphasized that this bank brought business world to Srpska.

– We spoke with many investors, businessmen, government representatives. We played hosts, toured Europe and the world, presented our potential, and now we are bringing that business world to the Republic of Srpska, so that they can see all our advantages and why it is good to invest in Srpska – said Vrhovac.

He noted that Srpska had something to offer in the field of tourism, hydro-potential, industry, etc.

– We have significant resources in the field of metal and electrical industry, textile, leather and footwear industry, wood processing and food industry, in the information and communication sector, etc. All this has attracted foreign investors with whom we had spoken and the Forum is an opportunity for introductions and mutual connecting – added Vrhovac.

Support for the Forum was provided by the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, and Prime Minister Radovan Višković.
