The Republic of Srpska stands fully with our diaspora in Austria, said Mladen Filipović, head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Vienna.

St Sava Ball was held in Vienna. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the ball was held for the 24th time after the revival of the tradition. With more than 1,500 guests, the ball was held for the first time in history in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace, and this year it was also of a humanitarian nature. The Republic of Srpska was represented by the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

– The ball showed that Serbs are very important in Vienna and entire Austria. There were many guests, naturally, including the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik – said Filipović.

Filipović pointed out that St Sava Ball was a big undertaking to organize everything at a high level.

– Our youth, with the support of the institutions of Srpska, Serbian Orthodox Church, and local community, have proved their ability to be true hosts, all in order not to forget our customs, traditions and culture – emphasized Filipović.

He said that St Sava Ball had a humanitarian character, and its partner was the Foundation of Novak Djokovic, whose wife Jelena was present in Vienna.
