Drvar marks 27 July as the Day of the Municipality, established on the day of the beginning of the uprising of the people against the fascist occupiers in 1941. The people of Drvar and its surroundings gave more than 7,000 soldiers during the Second World War. A ceremonial academy was held today, where letters of appreciation and recognitions were presented. The academy was attended, among others, by the Minister of Defense of Serbia, Nebojša Stefanović.

The Minister of Defense of Serbia, Nebojša Stefanović, said that Serbia was not hiding that it wanted the closest possible relations with the Republic of Srpska, but also to help everyone within BiH, giving priority to the municipalities with returnee population.

Serbia’s assistance to Drvar will not be lacking in the coming period, and Serbia will continue to help the Republic of Srpska, together with it through various projects aimed at a better life and future. The head of the municipality of Drvar stated that support of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia was of great importance for the survival of Serbs in these areas. Plans for the future include strengthening the local budget, infrastructural conditions.
