The second Diaspora Forum is being held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, in the period from May 30 to 31, 2019 in Banja Luka. This year, the Diaspora Forum will gather about 200 participants from more than 40 countries. Support in the organization of the forum is provided by the Government of the Republika Srpska, Republika Srpska representations abroad and the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The Diaspora Forum brings together representatives of Republika Srpska and Serbian institutions, businessmen, experts from various fields, members of state, provincial and local parliaments, university professors, leaders of cultural, humanitarian and other organizations and associations, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church and young people and students. and the diaspora.

The forum is also open to foreign citizens who study the Serbian language, history and culture and who are interested in supporting the development of the Republika Srpska with their knowledge, experience and contacts.

The goal of the previous as well as this year's Forum is to form a platform, which will gather Serbs, Serbian organizations, people from abroad, and friends of the Republika Srpska every year. Every year, the Forum will discuss ideas and proposals, how to direct the personnel, economic and all other capacities of the diaspora and Serbs abroad to the development of the Republika Srpska, but also how to work with the Serbian Orthodox Church, Serbian organizations abroad and representative offices. Republika Srpska is carrying out activities in the world that can contribute to strengthening the unity, unity and preservation of the spiritual, cultural and national identity of Serbs abroad.

Participants of the Second Diaspora Forum will have the opportunity to provide the institutions of the Republika Srpska with guidelines and ideas for the development of the Republika Srpska Strategy for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs Abroad. Also, participants will have the opportunity to convey to the institutions of Republika Srpska ideas and initiatives related to increasing the reputation of Republika Srpska in the world and to create and strengthen ties with other countries.
