Cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Hungary, as well as between Serbia and Hungary, is good, said the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, at a meeting with the president of the Serbian Self-Government in Hungary, Vera Pejić Sutor.

Dodik also spoke about the need for cooperation in the energy field.

– Srpska is the only one in the Balkans that produces excess energy, we are building new power plants and we will discuss this with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán – Dodik said.

The meeting also discussed the status of Serbs in Hungary.

– I am well acquainted with the status of Serbs in Hungary, and I have visited the Serbian community before – said Dodik.

Dodik noted the possibility of cooperation between Hungarian theater and Srpska’s National Theater, and announced construction of a Youth Center in Jahorina, to be open also to Serbian children from Hungary.

– The Republic of Srpska will pay for their seven-day stay. The best students of the Nikola Tesla Serbian high school from Budapest will enjoy free accommodation this season in Jahorina – said Dodik.

The Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, visited today the Church of St George the Great Martyr in Budapest.

Built in the 18th century, the Church of St George the Great Martyr is the only Serbian Orthodox church in Budapest.

The Serb member of the BiH Presidency will meet with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán today.
