The President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, spoke in Banja Luka with the Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Arnaud Gouillon.
The meeting discussed the position of Serbs in the region, current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, and other current topics in BiH and the region.
Dodik expressed his gratitude to Gouillon for the commitment and humanity he had showed towards the Serbian people, and supported the initiatives implemented by the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region.
The interlocutors supported the initiative to hold a Diaspora Forum regularly starting from next year, to be organized by the governments of Serbia and Srpska, with the aim of strengthening and improving cooperation with the diaspora in all areas.
Dodik pointed out that the diaspora represented an important resource and a great development opportunity for the Republic of Srpska, and that there was room for even greater institutional connection, as well as for the development of economic and business ties.
