We invented the breakthrough of the Salonika front, if that is so, we also invented Stefan Nemanja. We did not! It was Stefan Nemanja who invented us. They expect us to justify ourselves to them and to apologize to them tonight and to say – please excuse us for having our flag. We will never apologize for the Serbian tricolor again, we will carry it with pride, we will carry it all over the world.’
The day the Salonika front breakthrough started was chosen as a national holiday because it is a great day in national history. It was chosen as a general Serbian holiday that will not only be related to the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, but also to all Serbs in the territory of the former Yugoslavia and abroad.
