On the second day of her visit to Slovenia, the President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, attended the ceremonial opening of the Serbian-Slovenian Economic Fair in Ljubljana and said that dynamic economic cooperation was key to the economic development of all countries in the region.

Cvijanović noted that Republic of Srpska’s economic cooperation with Serbia, as well as with Slovenia, had been increasingly successful and meaningful year after year, as evidenced by all the relevant data on the volume of investments and foreign trade.

– It is my pleasure today to have the opportunity, at the invitation of the Association of Serbs of Slovenia, to attend the Serbian-Slovenian Economy Fair in Ljubljana – Cvijanović posted on her Instagram profile.

She expressed her belief that such events were a certain way to an even stronger connecting of businessmen, and further improving of cooperation.

The opening of the fair was also attended by Slovenian Parliament members, Lena Grgurević and Monika Pekošak, and Serbian Parliament member Milimir Vujadinović.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, Aleksandar Ljuboja, had a presentation on the economic potential of the Republic of Srpska.

Last night, Cvijanović attended the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Serbian educational society Nikola Tesla from Postojna, and noted that it contributed to the preservation of Serbian national identity in Slovenia.

The President of Srpska also spoke with representatives of the Serbian community in Slovenia, and on that occasion she emphasized that it was always nice to see compatriots in the diaspora, gathered around common values, tradition and culture.

During the evening, she also met with the mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković.
