The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, wished a merry Christmas to all Orthodox believers celebrating it according to the Julian calendar, wishing for this happiest Christian holiday, in the spirit of mores and religious tradition, to bring into homes joy, love, spiritual peace, hope for progress and a better tomorrow.
– The birth of Jesus Christ brings us together, brings us closer and reminds us of true human, family values, and the time behind us, with its many challenges, has once again shown how important health, strength of communion and humanity are to us – said Cvijanović in her Christmas greeting to the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, metropolitans, bishops, clergy, monks and the entire Serbian Orthodox people.
Wishing the citizens to share the upcoming Christmas days filled with joy and warmth, with their closest ones, Cvijanović greeted them with the all-joyous ancient Bethlehem greeting: ‘The peace of God, Christ is born!’, the Office of the President of Srpska announced.
