Representatives of the Munich-based Bavarian-Serbian Academic Forum held their fourth Evening of Serbian Culture in Bavaria.
The evening opened officially with the Serbian anthem God of Justice performed by opera diva Gabrijela Ubavić-Baumgarten. The Profesori orchestra and its singers Nemanja Vukomanović and Tina Cetojević performed beautiful melodies that left no one indifferent. Poets Ema Moconja, Antileta Živković and Danijela Božićković Radulović recited.
Stage performance by BSAF volunteers left a special impression; they illustrated the strength of a community.
Over 400,000 Serbs live in Germany and such events are not only cultural, they are allies of the Serbian identity. They nurture language, tradition and pride among the second and third generations, build trust with their hosts and recall that ‘we live in Germany, but our heart is Serbia.’ In times of globalization, they preserve their roots and build bridges between the two nations.
БСАФ је доказао –да српска култура не познаје границе, а такви сусрети јачају коријене и спајају срца преко граница. Српска дијаспора је показала да традиција и умјетност не познају границе.
