At the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Frankfurt, archpriest-stavrophore Simon Turkić ceremoniously received the books intended for the future library of the church in Gallus. The books are a gift from the Central Council of Serbs in Hessen (CcSH).

‘The charity campaign started already in early 2020, collecting more than 140 books despite the complex circumstances of the pandemic. Oro Serbian cultural and artistic society from Frankfurt, Saša Višnjić, and Offenbach Serbian cultural center (from Offenbach) supported the project with their donations, in addition to numerous private donors from our diaspora in Hessen. The donated books are written by our authors in Serbian, and the collected works include literature for adults, children and youth. With this donation, the Central Council of Serbs in Hessen wishes to contribute to the preservation of the Serbian written word and language as a whole, as well as of our religion, tradition and culture. On behalf of CcSH, the project was initiated and headed by Marija Laban Urošević’, said archpriest-stavrophore Simon Turkić.
