The ninth Festival of Domestic Products and Services was held in Banja Luka, organized by the Association of Young Economists. More than a hundred exhibitors from all over the Republic of Srpska presented domestic food, drinks and creative services.

The main goal of this event is to promote domestic entrepreneurs, the economy of the Republic of Srpska and the development of economic patriotism.

The festival was opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minić. – Domestic food, cheese, wine, uštipci… this evening, Stara Ada offers domestic products from all over the Republic of Srpska. The Festival of Domestic Products and Services brought together more than 100 exhibitors and showed how many good producers, entrepreneurs and hardworking people we have. Behind this story are young economists who have been promoting domestic production for nine years through the project Buy Domestic, Invest in Srpska. Let us buy domestic, support our producers, their families, workplaces and our economy – added Minić. Minić said that the Festival was an example of young people having good ideas to promote domestic products and potential. – All praise for the idea to promote the purchase of domestic products, which started all this nine years ago – stated Minić. He said that the Festival brought together a large number of exhibitors who had made a quality and profitable product with their own hands. – We must launch the initiative to amend the law so that our public institutions can purchase domestic products, under conditions that will not disrupt public procurement – stated Minić.

The President of the Association of Economists, Goran Vučić, said that the Festival had become a traditional event bringing together an increasing number of exhibitors from all over the Republic of Srpska. – I think that all local communities are represented and this is a good opportunity for them to present their products, but also to establish business ties – said Vučić.

The Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Vladimir Kokanović, led the Directorate’s delegation at the opening of the 9th Festival of Domestic Products and Services. The opening was also attended by the Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, and Anđelka Kuzmić, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska, along with numerous representatives of institutions and businesses. The Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region supported the Festival by co-financing, thus recognizing the importance of supporting domestic producers, entrepreneurs and the promotion of domestic products and services. This event is an important space for presenting domestic production, entrepreneurship and the potential of our people and local communities. Supporting such initiatives represents an investment in people, domestic production and strengthening ties between our communities.
