A monumental new phase of renovation has been completed at the Rada Vranješević Children’s Home in Banja Luka, which was made possible by the generosity of donors and friends of the 8th Lifeline Chicago Annual Florida Golf Outing.

This longstanding charitable event is organized every year through dedicated work of the Lifeline Chicago Golf Outing Committee, consisting of Mr. Rade Savić, Mr. Zoran Tomašević, Mr. Nikola Visić and Ms. Christina Rudman. The funds are raised to improve the living conditions of children living in residential care institutions.

The latest phase of the works included complete renovation and refurbishment of the living area of the sixth grade. The renovation and modernization covered four large shared bedrooms, a spacious living room, a dining room, a large kitchen and all connecting corridors. Thanks to a generous donation of Ms. Edita Krunić, the large bathroom in this wing has also been completely renovated.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine expressed her gratitude saying: ‘This project is a testament to the compassion and commitment of our donors, who continue to improve the lives of vulnerable children. Every improvement in the conditions at the Home means more than just the renovation; it brings the children a sense of security, dignity and hope for a better future. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Lifeline Chicago, of which I have been a proud patron for more than 30 years, and all donors and friends whose kindness makes such meaningful change possible.’

Ms. Darijana Kecman, Director of the Rada Vranješević Children’s Home, stated: ‘There are people who do not change the world with big words, but with great deeds, and our longstanding donors are exactly such people. For years, they have selflessly supported our Home and helped us provide a safe, warm and dignified environment for the children. This renovation improves significantly their daily lives and shows them that they are not forgotten, but that they are cared for, valued and supported.
