A Conference of Serbian National Organizations from Countries of the Region was held in the ceremonial hall of Matica Srpska, dedicated to celebrating significant anniversaries – the 850th anniversary of the birth of Saint Sava and the 200th anniversary of the founding of Matica Srpska.

The Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of unity of the Serbian people, preservation of national identity, and stronger motherland ties with Serbs in the region.

The role of Serbian organizations and institutions in preserving language, script, culture and tradition was particularly emphasized, as well as the importance of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Matica Srpska as pillars of national continuity.

The Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region will continue to improve cooperation and strengthen ties with our people, with a clear message that Serbia is permanently committed to its people, no matter where they live.
