The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska, Alen Šeranić, is participating in the work of Booking Health in Europe & Srpska, the international conference dedicated to health tourism held yesterday in Vienna, organized by the Banja Luka-based agencies MedNet and Tree Rocks, with the support of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska, and attended by more than 100 participants, predominantly from Austria and the Republic of Srpska, including representatives of institutions and health institutions from the Republic of Srpska. The international conference presented successfully 13 medical institutions from the Republic of Srpska.

Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić, who leads the Republic of Srpska delegation numbering more than 40 members, said that this conference had enabled experience and knowledge exchange for faster progress of domestic medical institutions.

This conference enables experience and knowledge exchange for faster progress of our medical institutions. In recent years, we have invested around 250 million euros in the renovation and new construction of public health institutions, thereby raising the overall capacity to a significantly higher level, said Minister Šeranić at the opening of the conference. He recalled that in the last five to six years, the health system of the Republic of Srpska had been focused on providing the highest quality of service in the most economical way.

The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria, Mladen Filipović, said that the international conference was a continuation of communication between institutions and a great opportunity to deepen cooperation.

During the day, Minister Šeranić will also participate in a one-on-one conversation dedicated to discussing the prospects of Central and Southeast Europe as the next top health tourism destinations in Europe.
