Serbian Folk Dance and Song Ensemble KOLO held two all-evening concerts in Slovenia.

The concerts were part of the KOLODROM regional tour under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, and co-organized by the Association of Serbs of Slovenia and the Association of Serbian Societies of Slovenia.

The Kolo Ensemble concert was attended by more than 2,000 people who filled Maribor’s Tabor Hall to capacity.

Ensemble Kolo held concerts in Maribor and Kranj.

The concerts were hosted by Maribor Serbian Cultural Society from Maribor and Brdo Cultural Society from Kranj.

In addition to the good hosts, the local Maribor Serbian Cultural Society, which is a member of the Association of Serbs of Slovenia, this great spectacle was attended by many guests from the region, including Dejan Bulatović, Serbian Parliament member, Zlatan Klokić, Minister in Republic of Srpska Government, Lena Grgurevič, Slovenian Parliament member, representatives of Serbian organizations from Zagreb, Banja Luka, Austria and Italy, and city of Maribor leadership.

Vladimir Kokanović, president of the Association of Serbs of Slovenia, as one of the organizers of this magnificent event, said that he was very honored to head the team that had managed to bring the Kolo Ensemble to Slovenia and thus offer the Slovenian public the best that Serbian culture had to offer:

– In the Association of Serbs of Slovenia, we are very proud of the rich Serbian tradition and culture, and such events are the best way to show our people’s wealth. In the coming period, we will continue to nurture and preserve Serbian cultural heritage and Serbian name.
