Last evening, in Mrkonjić Grad, the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, presented the Fit4Austria program aimed at connecting businessmen, establishing new business contacts and performing more efficiently on the Austrian market.
With the project continuing this year, Filipović took the opportunity to invite interested entrepreneurs to take part in this program, which will enable them to establish direct contacts with Austrian peers and discuss the potential for cooperation improvement.
Addressing the businessmen, Filipović pointed to the fact that, by participating in the Fit4Austria program, in addition to entering the Austrian market and being supported by the Representation, they would also acquire a certificate of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, which is recognized throughout the world.
He said that the Fit4Austria program had lasted about 18 months and was organized by the Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
– The goal is to enable our businessmen, company representatives and managers, through training to be carried out in two phases in the Republic of Srpska, to go to Austria for four days, where direct contacts with relevant companies from their sectors would be organized – said Filipović.
He added that, based on previous experience, a particularly important fact was that 80% of businessmen made some business contact, i.e. business cooperation already at the first meeting.
The Mayor of Mrkonjić Grad, Dragan Vođević, thanked the Head of the Republic of Srpska’s Austrian Representation for presenting the Fit4Austria program and the businessmen for expressing interest in presenting their production activities on the Austrian market.
– This is an important program and I hope that our businessmen will take advantage of the opportunity offered to them and present their products and activities on the Austrian market – said Vođević.
Businessman Velibor Jarić said that the businessmen had had the opportunity to gain new experiences, to hear how the Austrian economy operated and to learn about the requirements that need to be met in order to present their business and products on the foreign market.
– It is not easy to go to Austria and have the opportunity there for business contact with someone from the same sector, which is why the planned training is necessary for making adequate introduction and eventually establishing business cooperation on the foreign market – said Jarić.
The Fit4Austria project is organized by the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in the Republic of Austria in cooperation with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce’s WIFI Institute, Banja Luka Innovation Center, and Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce and Development Agency.
