At the meeting held on 21 September 2022, the Rector of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), Professor Radoslav Gajanin, and the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, agreed to organize student visits to Vienna for 17 of the best students of our university.

As agreed at the meeting in the rector’s office, which was also attended by the vice-rector for scientific research and development of the University of Banja Luka, Professor Miroslav Malinović, this visit will take place in December this year, and it is planned that the best final year students enrolled in the academic year 2022/2003 be introduced to the selected local, state and international institutions based in Vienna, and to the cultural and historical sights of the city under professional guidance.

The interlocutors also discussed other forms of cooperation between the Banja Luka University and Austria through the Representation. So, among other things, in the coming period it is planned to work on launching a competition for internship for our students in Austria, and on organizing guest lectures at the Faculty of Medicine of the Banja Luka University, as well as lectures for students of the History Study Program at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Banja Luka University.

It was also stated that members of the University of Banja Luka had an enviable cooperation with Austrian higher education institutions, but also that there was room for further strengthening of the cooperation.
