The student conference Most on Zlatibor is another step towards raising awareness of the unity of the Serb people, said tonight Rado Bjelica, a former Republic of Srpska student in Serbia, addressing the conference participants on behalf of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik.

Bjelica noted that young people were the backbone of the vitality of every nation, a generator of ideas, and energy that would carry out survival and progress.

– I am glad that the conference of students from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia has been launched, because it is another step towards raising awareness of our unity and an opportunity to draw attention to the fact that we have inherited the same values on both banks of the Drina, that we are like a person and its reflection in the mirror – Bjelica added.

He emphasized that the Conference was an opportunity to approach and discuss broader social and economic topics in a systematic and organized way, take positions, and launch initiatives that would make life easier for the current and future students on both sides of the Drina.

Bjelica noted that the Serb member of the Presidency, Milorad Dodik, addressed his greetings to all students and invited the leadership of the student association to accept his hospitality in Banja Luka or Sarajevo as soon as possible.

The President of the Association of Republic of Srpska Students in Serbia, Dejan Pudar, said that this conference was originated to express opinions and create ideas whose unification would contribute to the development of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia.

– Through social action, we build ourselves as humans, and then as educated citizens who serve the Serb people. The need to help one’s neighbor is woven into the upbringing of a Serb child, and that is one of our basic aspirations – Pudar emphasized.

Nemanja Mitrović, vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, said that it was necessary to build bridges and strengthen mutual ties between Srpska and Serbia.

– It is our responsibility to implement all the necessary and useful projects for our fatherland, with our enthusiasm, endeavor and energy, but also with the help of those older and more experienced – Mitrović pointed out.

On behalf of the students from Montenegro, Miloš Rmuš said that such meetings, where students gathered to exchange experiences from their countries, were one of the elements towards achieving the set goals and the support to come up with new ideas.

– We need to strengthen the relations of our countries, which are unbreakable, and to work together and strive to achieve our goals and tasks through a feeling of brotherly harmony, because we are brothers, and we are one nation – Rmuš pointed out.

In the second part of the Conference, students had a panel discussion which included, among others, members of the Serbian Parliament, Sanja Lakić and Đorđe Dabić, representative of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Nikolina Milatović Popović, and Director of the Fund for Refugees, Displaced Persons and Cooperation with Serbs in the Region, Duško Ćutilo.
