Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, met in Sankt Pölten with representatives of the Sankt Pölten Serbian Orthodox Church and Wilhelmsburg Krajišnik Club.

During the meeting, they discussed the position of the Serbian community and the activities of Serbian clubs and associations in Lower Austria, and one of the initiatives discussed was the opening of a Serbian Center in Lower Austria.

‘Lower Austria has great potential for the implementation of such a project, which would be significant for gathering and connecting our diaspora. This region, Sankt Pölten in particular, is home to many of our people who visit our church regularly, keep our cultural and artistic societies and clubs in operation, and preserve our identity and tradition,’ said Filipović.
