As part of his working visit to Vienna, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, visited the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria yesterday.

With the Head of the Representation, Mladen Filipović, and representatives of Serbian community in Austria – businessmen and association members, he discussed their position and role in social and political processes in Austria.

‘I fully support your determination to be representative in the social and political life of Austria, with a focus on unity in national issues. I am proud that you have maintained your patriotic spirit and that you are committed to the maximum to cooperating with all Serbs in the region, Europe and the world’, said Minister Košarac.

On this occasion, Minister Košarac noted the importance of the unity of Srpska and Serbia in all national issues, and emphasized the excellent cooperation of the presidents Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić, and he used the visit to the Representation to introduce the interlocutors to the political situation in BiH with a focus on the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska in preserving its constitutional capacity and protecting the interests of the Serbian people.

Minister Košarac will speak in Vienna with the Austrian Minister for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, Leonore Gewessler.

The topic of the meeting will be the potential for Austria’s support for the unified position of all competent institutions in BiH on the unacceptability of construction of the disputed radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel storage facility on Trgovska Gora.

The meeting will also be attended by the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska, Bojan Vipotnik.
