The Republic of Srpska and Serbia will celebrate the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag together in Vienna on 15 September, confirmed the Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić and the Minister without portfolio in Serbian Government in charge of relations with the diaspora Đorđe Milićević today in Banja Luka.
Klokić said it was also agreed that Serbs from the Republic of Srpska take part in the organization of the Vidovdan Assembly, traditionally organized by the ministry headed by Milićević.
‘Our goal is to take a more active part this year and to dedicate one segment to the participation of businessmen from the diaspora, and to organize such an event also in the Republic of Srpska,’ Klokić said after the meeting.
He stated that organizing joint youth camps was also discussed, and that the Republic of Srpska’s proposal was to have one organized in Višegrad.
Milićević said that the All-Serbian Assembly, organized on the initiative of the presidents of Srpska and Serbia, Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić, was of great national importance, because the national interests of the Serbian people had been finally defined in the 21st century.
‘An outcome of the All-Serbian Assembly is signing of a Memorandum between our two ministries to define mechanisms aimed at creating an even stronger bond between the motherland and Serbs outside the borders of Srpska and Serbia,’ said Milićević.
