Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today at the reception for participants of the Serbia is Calling You 2026 camp that 435 young participants from different parts of the world, from the region, Europe, and all other parts of the world were proving that love for Serbia and mutual respect had no boundaries.

- From Germany, France, England, Qatar, South Africa, all the way to Montenegro, brotherly Srpska, some of you coming from our country, from the suffering and proud Kosovo and Metohija, you are a credit to our culture, our youth, and our homeland - said the Serbian President at the Palace of Serbia addressing the young athletes participating in the Serbia is Calling You 2026 camp.

Vučić said that the Serbia is Calling You event was organized successfully again in ‘our Belgrade’ and added that it was always characteristic of sports and sports activities to have a common language with love, passion, but also mutual respect.

He said that he owed special gratitude to their companions, coaches and educators who are a faithful support to this project and whose dedication guarantees their bringing home not only sporting results, but also lasting friendships and, above all, a deep awareness of their roots.

- Dear children, protect your last name, first name and origin. Be proud of it and know that the doors of this country are always and widely open to you. Wherever your path takes you, remember these days, because Serbia is always waiting for you and Serbia is calling you - Vučić said.

In a press statement after the event, he thanked again the children and their parents for, according to him, loving Belgrade and Serbia so much.

- We will try to expand this to Niš and Novi Sad in the coming years, and later to other cities in the country. We think it is a fantastic action in which children not only socialize, but also learn, find out much more about their homeland, love it even more, and it seems to me that we encourage that kind of patriotic awareness in which they understand well, not only where their roots are, but to have that kind of emotion and to think about where to return. I am truly proud of such a beautiful action that sounds insignificant to some, but I think its importance is enormous - said Vučić.
