The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Information on the preparation of a new memorandum on cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Serbia in the field of strengthening ties with the diaspora.

The Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation and the Office of the minister without portfolio responsible for coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora have expressed their readiness to cooperate on projects in the field of the diaspora, announced the Government’s Public Relations Office.

One of the steps in that direction, reads the announcement, is to analyse the Memorandum on cooperation on strengthening ties with members of the diaspora, which was signed in 2013 in Banja Luka, and to draft a new text to be proposed to the governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia for adoption.

For this purpose, a Working Group will be established to work on this task, and it will include three representatives of the Department for Cooperation with the Diaspora on behalf of the Ministry. The Working Group is expected to draft the text of the new memorandum by the end of 2023.
