The President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, Goran Račić, held a meeting yesterday with a delegation from the Association of Serbian Businessmen in Austria and discussed the topic of improving cooperation between businessmen from the Republic of Srpska and the Serbian business diaspora.

The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties and creating a platform for more intensive connection of domestic companies with businessmen operating in Austria. Special focus was placed on opportunities for the development of new investments, support for the export of products from the Republic of Srpska, and exchange of business experiences and knowledge.

The interlocutors also discussed the initiative to establish a Diaspora Business Council, which would bring together successful business people from the Republic of Srpska who are doing business abroad, with the aim of strengthening institutional cooperation with the domestic economy, exchanging experiences and identifying new investment and development projects. The interlocutors agreed that the diaspora represented a significant resource for the development of the economy of the Republic of Srpska, and that it was necessary to further improve cooperation mechanisms by organizing business forums, B2B meetings and joint business delegations.

The possibilities of organizing future business events that would bring together business people from the Republic of Srpska and Austria were also discussed, with the aim of strengthening business partnerships, promoting the investment potential of the Republic of Srpska and encouraging new forms of economic cooperation.

The Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce and Austrian Association of Serbian Businessmen have expressed their readiness to intensify activities in the coming period to connect the diaspora with the domestic economy and create new opportunities for joint business development.
