The Minister without Portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Serbia responsible for monitoring the situation, proposing measures and participating in the coordination of activities in the field of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora, Đorđe Milićević, officially opened an ecological educational camp in Šid for children and youth from the diaspora and the region.
On this occasion, Milićević emphasized the importance of holding the camp in Šid, in Morović, where nature, history and the lives of the local people had a special way of coming together.
The Minister planted a black locust sapling with camp participants, as a message that Serbia is loved also by preserving its nature.
He said that summer camps held in Serbia sent a strong message to our compatriots living outside the homeland – that investing in youth from the diaspora and the region is an investment in the future of Serbia.
The official camp opening was also attended by the mayor of Šid, Zoran Semenović.
