A cultural and educational camp for youth from the diaspora and region is underway in Šabac, aiming to bring children together for the purpose of preserving and nurturing the tradition of folklore and folk creativity. Program host is the Jevrem Obrenović Center for Culture and Tradition Preservation from Šabac. The participants include 150 children from the Republic of Srpska and Austria, aged between 11 and 15, who are members of Serbian cultural and artistic societies, in addition to cultural and artistic societies from Prnjavor, Skupljen, Mladenovac and Sopot.

During their seven-day stay in Šabac, the guests will learn about the cultural, historical and natural sights of Mačva and also strengthen mutual ties and improve their knowledge of the Cyrillic alphabet and the Serbian language. Investing in youth is investing in our shared future. United wherever you are, said the minister without portfolio in charge of relations with the diaspora and Serbs in the region, Đorđe Milićević, and the Mayor of Šabac, Aleksandar Pajić, who opened this camp.
