In the Norwegian city of Fredrikstad, another Serbian organization was founded in December – the Association of Serbs and Friends in Norway Viken Mihajlo Pupin. As the founders point out, the organization is voluntary, non-political and independent, and aims to nurture Serbian tradition and culture. Its priority goals are also preserving the language and identity of Serbs in Norway, and developing friendship and mutual cooperation between the Serbian and Norwegian people. The Association of Serbs and Friends Mihajlo Pupin is open to all people of good will.

The management and members of the Association plan to achieve their goals through lectures, announcements, actions, sports competitions, trips, socializing, meetings and various other types of mutual assistance. Cooperation with other Serbian associations, both in Norway and throughout the world and cooperation with social and state institutions in Norway, Serbia and Republic of Srpska are also the priorities of the new Association of Serbs Mihajlo Pupin in Fredrikstad, Norway.
