Licider Heart folklore festival gathered participants from Moldova, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Georgia, Serbia and Republic of Srpska in Andrićgrad today.

The President of the Organizing Committee of the Licider Heart festival, Goran Paunović, said that Višegrad was one of the hosts of the festival for the tenth time and pointed out that the participants were satisfied because of their good impressions.

– The festival gathers a large number of participants, and diversity of culture and tradition in one place is a real treasure – Paunović added.

The festival was preceded by a folklore playroom, followed by a reception for the participants in Višegrad city hall.

The head of the municipality, Mladen Đurević, told reporters that this event connected Serbia and Republic of Srpska in a very specific way.

– A large number of participants from different countries say that the organization is good, and that is the most important thing – Đurević pointed out, and expressed hope that the coming years would make the festival even more massive.

The festival is being held under the auspices of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, and it will last until 19 August in Užice, Zlatibor and Višegrad.

There is about 700 participants aged 10 to 16 from Serbia, Republic of Srpska, Bulgaria, Hungary, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Egypt, Moldova, Georgia.

The festival is organized by the Association of Citizens Era from Užice, and co-organized by the city of Užice, Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia, and Zlatibor Tourism Organization.
