The Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska /TORS/ has published a brochure intended for foreign and domestic visitors in the form of a guide to Srpska’s gastro and wine culture.
TORS announced that the brochure presented well-known dishes such as: cicvara, uštipci, sarma, polenta, beans, pies, lamb or veal roasted under the bell, roast pork and fish.
- Since our cuisine is very similar to that of the countries of the region, we have singled out what can be seen as characteristic of our territory, such as: Trappist cheese, Romanija skorup, Janj kajmak, Nevesinje sack cheese, Banja Luka ćevap and Herzegovina prosciutto - reads the announcement.
The brochure also presents the offer of domestic wineries, focusing on those with a tasting room, such as the cellars Jungić, Vukoje and Anđelić.
- The presentation also includes rakija - a drink for which everyone knows about this territory - and domestic craft beer - announced TORS.
Since the primary goal of the brochure is to attract visitors to the Republic of Srpska, TORS said that they also presented several ethno-villages serving traditional food.
The brochure is currently available online on TORS website /turizamrs.org/, and planned to be translated into English, German and Russian.
The brochure is available at http://turizamrs.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/GASTRO-2021_compressed.pdf.
