Rafting on the Tara and Drina has been one of the most popular European tourist destinations in recent years.
Going down the clear and impetuous rivers is more than a challenge and those who try it once gladly return with friends.
This tourism brand of Srpska has integrated land, water and air in various arrangements.
It is no surprise that more and more tourists are coming from all over the world and that they are delighted by the clarity of the Tear of Europe – the Tara River.
From the meeting point of the Piva and Tara, the adventure continues on the river Drina. Not even the coronavirus pandemic could hinder rafting enthusiasts.
– Each year, we are here at least once. This is a perfect place, perfect fun, a total break from the hectic everyday life – said Jovan Kajiš from Novi Sad.
With the unforgettable adventure on the Tara, whose canyon is the second largest in the world, more and more people are staying in rafting camps from Bastasi to Hum for a multi-day vacation.
– Weekends are peak times. This is sometimes negotiated and booked months in advance. We have adjusted the prices and packages to those coming on weekdays – said Mirko Davidović from SRC Tara Raft from Foča.
During more than two decades, tourist packages have been supplemented with various arrangements – kayaking, canyoning, canoeing, enduro, safari, off-road rides, zip line.
The rafting camps point out that with the organized groups of different ages, more and more guests are coming with their families every year on vacation on the Tara and Drina.
