As part of the fifth day of the Licider Heart festival, a folklore playroom was organized today on the main city square in Užice and a pottery workshop in Zlakusa, where young participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with the traditional way of making dishes.

Starting at 7.30 pm, a solemn closing ceremony was held on the Partisan Square, where the ensembles demonstrated the skills of folklore dancing by performing in front of a large Užice audience. This year’s festival was ceremoniously closed with fireworks and dancing of a large ersko kolo on the square.

In addition to the folklore program, the festival was accompanied by numerous other events – exhibitions, seminars, folklore playrooms, tours, environmental and other workshops. From this year, the festival also includes a new action Licider Heart to Nature, planned to plant a tree line of friendship in cooperation with the state-owned enterprise Serbia Forests.

This year, the festival showed its humane character by donating the funds raised by selling licider hearts and souvenirs for the neonatology department of the Užice General Hospital.
