Vuk Karadžić Serbian Club from Steyr is implementing its new project Call of the Ancestors this year, with the mission to preserve and promote Serbian culture and tradition through various activities.

In cooperation with relevant institutions, we are on the project’s threshold, preparing for our first event to be held on 24 May in Garsten, says the society.

The project provides for the performance of new choreographies, including Vranjsko Polje, which will further enrich cultural expression and showcase the richness of Serbian folklore. The plans also include The Soul of Art creative workshops, which will bring together talented young artists to express their creativity through visual art creations, poetry and traditional dances, with a focus on youth and orienting them towards tradition.

In addition, the project includes participation in international events, such as the Trebinje International Folklore Festival, and various events throughout Austria.

Through all these activities, we strive to inspire new generations, preserve traditions and enhance the cultural scene in the region, adds the Club.
