The Statehood Day of Serbia was important for a hundred great men of Serbian culture and society. President Aleksandar Vučić presented decorations to the most deserving individuals. The recipients of Sretenje Order, Gold Medal of Merit and other decorations included Serbs from the diaspora.

Cardiologist Ninoslav Radovanović from Slovenia, academician, doctor of medical sciences, one of the best cardiac surgeons in Europe. He worked in Switzerland, Sremska Kamenica, Belgrade, and opened an institute in Slovenia.

Academician Vlada Urošević from North Macedonia is one of the most respected Serbs in Skopje. Poet, novelist, translator, professor, he is a pillar of Serbian culture in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Dr Miodrag Grbić, Serbian scientist, geneticist in the field of molecular biology and entomology, is a world-renowned scientist. Through the project of genome sequencing of two-spotted spider mite, a plant pest, which the geneticist in the field of molecular biology and entomology and his team designed and developed in a laboratory in Canada, resulted in a great treatment success in agriculture. Another recipient from Canada is the humanitarian organization Little World Canada from Toronto.

The author Radomir Putniković from England is a poet and Serbian activist.

Dr Vesna Cidilko is a Slavist and retired professor of Humboldt University in Berlin, Blaženka Trivunčić is a Serbian language and literature professor at the Sorbonne University, who takes care of the development and learning of Serbian among the children of our emigrants. Zoran Jovanović is a politician from the Swiss Confederation and a great humanitarian.

Academician and professor Svetlana Matić from Austria, a teacher in an Austrian elementary school for children of the parents originating from Serbia, BiH, Republic of Srpska and Croatia, is the author of Nukvar – a Serbian language textbook for children. She is the founder of Prosvjeta society and Vilhelmina Mina Karadžić Austrian-Serbian cultural society, which develop cooperation with the Austrians. She set up a memorial plaque to Mina Karadžić in Vienna. Her book Serbian Traces in Vienna is being prepared for printing. She is one of the best Serbian activists in Europe and the diaspora.

Recipients include also Dr Miloje Ž. Milićević from Germany, long-standing president of the Diaspora for Motherland Fund, and the Holy Three Hierarchs Seminary of Krka monastery.
