The Leotar sports association from Trebinje represented the Republic of Srpska at the three-day event Sports Meetings of Diaspora Youth (28-30 November 2024) in Vrnjačka Banja.

This event was attended by 120 children aged 10-15 from Romania, Hungary, Greece, Austria, Italy, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Republic of Srpska, and sixty of their peers from Vrnjačka Banja and Serbia.

The main goal of the event was for young people to connect with their motherland Serbia and develop fair play, the spirit of Olympism through sports competitions in handball, basketball, futsal and volleyball, in addition to encouraging mutual understanding and tolerance among youth.

The Leotar sports association from Trebinje took the opportunity to gather a group of fifteen children of the relevant age who had completed the School of Sports in the first years of its establishment.

The children were also afforded the opportunity to meet former handball aces Ratko Nikolić and Nebojša Golić, who presented them with diplomas and medals, and they also attended a presentation by Roksanda Atanasov, former karate Olympic champion.
